| I was definitely hooked into reading this by the summary. It's nice to have a capable main character in shoujo. |

| I love this story, both manga and novel. I like it because the main character is not a beautiful princes waiting for rescue but a strong woman. I hope to find more manga like this. |

The problem I have with the manga is that the drawings show the girl as beautiful looking, while she's supposed to be a beauty. I know it's an issue of perception, but these kinds of things bother me to no end. |

I'm asking since manga updates shows me that this had 3 versions the 7 volume version, the 3 volume version, and the latest 2 volume version... So i guess I'm a bit confused.... Any enlightenment will be much appreciated... Thnx |

| I'm using the 3 volume version, because it has the best art (while that's not really the reason but whatever). - Spoiler:
The 7 volume version was the first one to be published. Ever. Illustrated by Wang Yi.
The 3 volume version was the reprint of the 7 volume version, five years(?) after the 7 volume version by the same publisher - Uei Shiang. This version was illustrated by the same person who did/was doing the manhua, Xi Xi Guo.
7 volume version no longer being sold by that publisher, but it's the version you find on the internet.
The 2 volume version is a completely different case - it was published by "New World Publishing". (I'm not sure about this, but I think it was published in simplified Chinese because this version was published by a Mainland Chinese publisher.)
Basically, I'm saying that I use the 3 volume version because I actually own two of the volumes. Above was just how the 7, 3 and 2 volume-versions came to be.
Does that help? xD

| Then you should have seen the cast for the planned (but failed) drama adaptation. They literally chose like one of the most famous (very, very pretty) actors to play the role of Pingting. The people on baidu were like "Huh? Isn't she supposed to be 'ugly' or 'super plain' in the novel?" It might be because the artist's more used to drawing guys more than girls (she usually illustrates BL/Yaoi/Shounen-ai novels) and I think at the end of the vol01, she reveals that her drawing style kept on changing and she had problems with character design. Particularly their faces. - quatrevav35 wrote:
