I dunno, is it just forumotion that has adfly or is it everyone? Anyway, I did go around and look for methods to bypass the adfly...it's a bit more complicated though. = =
This is mainly a reminder to myself and to others who are curious.
It's HTML...so...
- Code:
-
<a href=[link] target=_blank>[direct_link/other_text]</a>
For example:
http://www.mediafire.com/?vshebqgajzc6tt4/It works for both the
extended and
shortened mediafire urls. It's not a 100% foolproof plan because it only works
most of the time.
When I learned HTML, I had to do some sort of speech mark, so " or ' to enclose some stuff. If you do that, the coding won't work for some reason and so it'll be a waste...
- Code:
-
<a href="[link]" target="_blank">[direct_link/other_text]</a>
THIS IS CODE DOES NOT WORK!!
For example:
http://www.mediafire.com/?vshebqgajzc6tt4/You have to uncheck "Disable HTML in this post" under "Options" to use this code for it to work. You can also go to "
Preferences" and choose "Yes" for "Always allow HTML". Note that BBCode (forum code) still works even with HTML code in the post and extra "<" and ">" will not show up in posts that have enabled HTML.
I don't know if it's forumotion or mediafire that's actually having adfly, so if even this code breaks, I hope no one minds waiting for those five seconds. Maybe it's time we move into a cloud host (I'm thinking skydrive here).
I'm not getting, at the moment, on how to make a new bbcode. Yup, I'm confused.
xah.
